The PS15EMZ5-1 is a Z-Wave Appliance Module that can provide Z-Wave enabled control to any appliance in your home that youd like to have control over. This module replaces the previous PS15Z-2 model. When you get this correctly installed you will be able to turn the appliance on and off via your Z-Wave control unit. The PS15EMZ5-1 features two receptacles. One receptacle is controlled and the other is a pass-through that can be used as a regular outlet. The module can handle loads of 15 amps or less and features a third grounding prong to reduce the risk of electric shock. The module even acts as a repeater to strengthen the Z-Wave network in your home.
Installing the device is simple. Plug the PS15EMZ5-1 into the outlet near the appliance you want to add and then plug in the appliance. Next youll set your Z-Wave controller to discover mode and then after doing this youll press the button on the module to add it.
